Wortley Hall’s political background is hinted at throughout the building, with each event space being named after a specific union or a key political individual.
Wortley Hall is a company in its own right, a member of the Co-operative Union and with the Registry of Friendly Societies. The venue was established as an Educational / Recreational Centre in 1951 and, since that time, has operated on co-operative principles.
